Server Rules
To ensure compliance with server policies, players must carefully read and adhere to the server rules at all times to avoid any potential penalties or disciplinary action.
The server rules may be subject to periodic amendment, modification, or supplementation without prior notice. The staff of The Dojo reserves the right to take necessary action at all times to uphold the best interests of the server, even if such action is not explicitly outlined on this page. Any entity whose conduct falls outside the parameters of the server's best interests may be subject to punitive action as deemed appropriate by The Dojo staff.
Rules
1. Treat others with respect
- Players are expected to exercise good judgment and act appropriately when playing and interacting with others on the server. The server staff reserves the right to remove any player who is deemed disruptive to the server's community.
- Follow staff instructions: Players should follow any instructions given by the server staff.
2. No advertising
- Players are prohibited from promoting other Minecraft servers, websites, or communities in any form of communication on the server, including but not limited to, chat messages.
- Players should not promote other games, products, or services in the chat or any other forms of communication on the server.
- Except for links to the server's official website or social media pages, players are prohibited from sharing any external links in the chat or any other forms of communication on the server.
- Trading or selling Minecraft accounts or any other in-game items is strictly prohibited on the server. Players must refrain from engaging in any such activities while on the server.
- Players are prohibited from impersonating server staff or making false claims of authority over the server. Such actions are strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action being taken against the player.
- No using inappropriate usernames: Players should not use usernames that contain the name of another Minecraft server or website.
- Players are not allowed to request donations or advertise any external fundraising campaigns in the server's chat or any other forms of communication.
3. No hacking, cheating, exploiting, or glitching
- Players are prohibited from taking advantage of any glitches or bugs in the game that give them an unfair advantage over other players.
- The use of alternate accounts to evade bans, grief, or cheat in any way is strictly prohibited on the server. Players must refrain from using alternate accounts for any such purposes.
- Using AFK farms that enable players to acquire resources without actively participating in the game is not allowed on the server. Players must not use such farms while playing on the server.
- Exploiting game mechanics in a manner that confers an unfair advantage is not allowed on the server. Players must not use glitches, such as going through walls or floors, to gain any such advantage while playing on the server.
- No excessive redstone contraptions: Players should not build excessively lag-inducing redstone contraptions.
4. No spamming or begging
- Players are not allowed to repeatedly send irrelevant or unsolicited messages in the chat or any other form of communication on the server.
- Players should not beg for items, resources, or other favors from other players. Begging can be disruptive and annoying for other players.
5. No griefing or stealing
- Taking items or resources without permission is strictly prohibited on the server. Players must not engage in any form of stealing while playing on the server.
- Players must not kill mobs belonging to other players, including those spawned by a spawner block, without obtaining the owner's consent.
- Players must not destroy or place blocks that they do not own without obtaining the owner's permission. Additionally, if using another player's farm, players must first seek the plot owner's consent.
- Players should not beg for items, resources, or other favors from other players. Begging can be disruptive and annoying for other players.
6. No scamming
- No fraudulent trades: Players should not engage in fraudulent trades where they intentionally deceive other players into trading valuable items for worthless or less valuable items.
- No deceiving with builds: Players should not deceive other players with builds that are designed to trick them into giving up their items or currency.
- Players should not sell fake or non-existent items to other players.
- Players should not exploit any glitches or loopholes in the trading system to gain an unfair advantage over other players.
- No fraudulent auctions: Players should not engage in fraudulent auctions where they intentionally misrepresent the items being auctioned or attempt to scam other players out of their currency.
7. No abusing donations
- No giving unfair advantages: Donations should not give players an unfair advantage over others, such as special privileges, items, or abilities that are not available to non-donating players.
- Donations should not involve the sale of in-game items or currency for real-world money, as this creates an unfair advantage for those who can afford to pay.
- It is inappropriate for players to ask for donations from other players and create a sense of obligation for them to contribute.
- No breaking server balance: Donations should not be allowed to break the balance of the server's economy or gameplay, by giving excessive or game-breaking rewards.
- Players should not abuse refund policies by making fraudulent or false claims, and should not demand refunds for donations that have already been used or consumed.
- The Dojo will not make false promises about the benefits or rewards of donating, and will not mislead players about the true nature of their donation program.
- Donations should not violate any of the game's rules or regulations, and should not enable players to engage in activities that are prohibited.
8. Respect town rights
- Players should not cause harm to any players, animals, or crops within a town, and should take care not to cause any accidental damage.
- It is against the rules for players to profit from exploiting any glitches, bugs, or loopholes within a town's systems or structures for their own gain.
- No unauthorized modifications: Players should not modify or alter any buildings, structures, or other town-related items without permission from the town's owner or mayor.
- Players should not steal or take any items or resources from a town's chests, farms, or other communal areas without permission.
